Photography has crossed my path with the same intensity as a beam of sudden light on a dull day.

As I stayed there behind my camera, taking the first shots, I realized there was magic in the connection between my eye and the subject captured. I realized I was catching a moment in time and somehow turn it into something eternal, or at least something worth being kept in the niche of someone’s memory.

When, pulled by its majesty, I allowed myself to go deeper into it, study and practice, I understood how photography can be an amazing art and a unique way to approach reality. This has been proved wrong by the many photographers who, before me, have turned their camera into a tool similar to a painter’s brush, adding both technical and artistic skills to it, demonstrating how human-controlled factors as composition, lighting decisions, exposure times, framing, the intelligent use of colour, ingenuity and creativity – can turn photography into an art form.
